Your First Visit to CGMP: What to Bring and What to Expect

New to the practice? Here is what to bring to your first appointment and how registration works.

Starting with a new GP can feel like a lot of admin, so here's what to expect at your first visit to Cringila General Medical Practice.

Please arrive about 10 minutes early to complete a short new patient registration form, either on paper at reception or online beforehand if you've booked through HealthEngine. Bring your Medicare card, private health insurance details if relevant, and a list of any medications you're currently taking.

If you've been seeing another GP, it's helpful — though not essential — to bring a summary of your medical history or ask your previous practice to transfer your records. Our reception team can help arrange this for you.

Your first appointment is a good opportunity to talk through your general health, any ongoing conditions, and what you're hoping to get out of being a patient here. We're open five days a week with same-day appointments and walk-ins welcome, so don't hesitate to call ahead if you have any questions before you arrive.
